Ready or Not … Here Comes the Illinois License Transition!

With the turning of a page on the calendar to the new year, the Illinois real estate license transition seems to be on everyone’s mind.

The IDFPR and AMP testing service surprised real estate licensees by releasing the proficiency examination so all licensees can immediately begin proficiency testing. Based on the significant initial response we’ve received, it seems a lot of licensees are very pleased to have the early opportunity to pass the proficiency test.   Fortunately, we were ready at the Real Estate Institute for our students’ desire to jump into the transition process.

Last Wednesday, we held an internal meeting with all of our customer service representatives to review the transition requirements.  Even our team members (who have been hearing about these issues for a couple of years) were surprised by the extent of the upcoming changes and the variety of options we are able to offer to licensees. While we were walking through the licensing issues and our unique transition services, we realized it is important that we offer an online information session for managing brokers to learn more about the available options and provide an opportunity for them to ask questions.
